Spatial Distribution of Satellite Constellations on Circular Orbits

چکیده
This paper addresses the problem of equal distribution of a satellite constellation on a circular target orbit. The control goal is to make a satellite constellation converge to a circular target orbit, while spatially distributing the satellites. The solution is defined in the port-Hamiltonian framework, which provides a clear physical interpretation of the control laws. The controller consists of two parts: an internal control system steers each individual satellite to the target orbit, and an external control system equally distributes the satellite constellation. Numerical simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this approach.

Optimal Two-Impulse Rendezvous Using Multiple-Revolution Lambert Solutions
Theminimum-¢V, xed-time, two-impulse rendezvousbetween two spacecraft orbitingalong two coplanarunidirectional circular orbits (moving-target rendezvous) is studied. To reach this goal, the minimum-¢V, xed-time, two-impulse transfer problem between two xed points on two circular orbits is rst solved. This xed-endpoint transfer is related to the moving-target rendezvous problemby a sim...

متن کاملOptimal Two-Impulse Rendezvous Between Two Circular Orbits Using Multiple-Revolution Lambert’s Solutions
In this paper, we study the optimal fixed-time, two-impulse rendezvous between two spacecraft orbiting along two coplanar circular orbits in the same direction. The fixed-time two-impulse transfer problem between two fixed points on two circular orbits, called a fixed-time fixed-endpoint transfer problem, is solved first. Our solution scheme involves first the solution to the related multiple-r...

متن کاملOrbital Perturbation Effect on LEO Satellite Trajectory
A satellite, in its orbit, is affected by perturbing forces, such as atmospheric drag, solar radiation pressure, Earth oblateness, and gravity of the celestial masses (other than the Earth). In this paper, the effects of these forces on the trajectories of different types of LEO satellites and a sample satellite (Z-SAT) are discussed. A few analyses are done on these orbits and the relevant res...
